The branch usually meets on the third Thursday of each month at
7pm (excluding January and February), at the King Richard III Visitor
Centre, 4A St. Martins, Leicester, LE1 5DB.

Directions
The Visitor Centre is easy to find – right in the heart of the city
centre, adjacent to Leicester Cathedral. Leicester city centre shops,
cafes and hotels are easily walkable and the Visitor Centre has
excellent transport links.
If you’re using a satellite navigation system, please note that the
area around the visitor centre is largely pedestrianised. We
recommend using the postcode for the Holiday Inn Hotel (LE1 4LF)
from which there are several parking options as described below.
By train: Leicester railway station is serviced by East Midlands
Trains and CrossCountry. Leicester enjoys good rail links from major
cities such as Birmingham, Sheffield and London. For timetables and
services, please contact Trainline The Centre is a 10 to 15 minute
walk from Leicester city railway station.

Park & Ride: There are three park and ride services for the city centre, two
of which operate very close to the Visitor Centre, with the third being a short
walk away. For more details please visit the Quick Silver bus service website.
By bus: The Centre can be easily reached by any of the bus services coming
into the city centre. A map of services into Leicester city centre, is available
on the Leicester City Council transport and streets website.
By car: From the South: Leicester is located just off the M1. From
the south, exit the M1 at Junction 21, signposted M69 and Leicester.
From the North: Leicester is located just off the M1. From the north,
exit the M1 at Junction 22 and join the A50.
Car Parking: Long-stay car parks are available nearby at St
Nicholas Circle NCP (next to the Holiday Inn, postcode LE1 4LF) and
at the Highcross Shopping Centre (accessible from Vaughan Way,
postcode LE1 4QJ). Information detailing all public car parks in the
city and their charges is available from Leicester City Council.
The Richard III Visitor Centre - please note that the Centre and the
Society are completely independent of each other.
